Hey yall! Thank you so much for your interest in our short film: They Were Just Roommates. It is an upcoming short film series that explores roommates dwelling together and the situations that unfold.

The first set of roommates we meet are Neemah and Em, polar opposites who have been friends for a minute despite their completely different personalities. It will make you laugh, cringe, gasp, and maybe shed a tear or two. The film is written by Ajé Brown who wants to give voice to black queer folks, with a concentration on black lesbianism .

This fundraiser is for the first installment in the series that will be filmed in the fall of 2025, with a tentative release date of spring 2026. We would like to raise funds to help cover the filming and post production costs.
