IT'S TIME TO TELL A STORY FOR BEAUFORT!
Every town has a place that quietly becomes part of its history. It isn't always the biggest building or the busiest street. Sometimes it's a neighborhood bar, where friendships are formed, first drinks are shared, and memories become stories that are told for decades.
I grew up in Beaufort, South Carolina, and Last Call is rooted in the people, places, and conversations that shaped me.
For years, this story lived only in memory. Now we're bringing it to the screen. Last Call is a story inspired by the feeling of old friends who know each other too well. The film follows three estranged friends—Simeon, Justin, and Tiger—as their favorite local bar announces its final night. Keeping a drunken promise made twenty years ago, they reunite for one last drink together, turning a simple night of reminiscing into a chaotic, funny, and emotional journey through old grudges and buried secrets.
What began as a deeply personal story has evolved into something much bigger. Like Spike Lee in Brooklyn, Richard Linklater in Austin, Craig Brewer in Memphis, or Kevin Smith in New Jersey, my goal is to build real stories from one place and put Beaufort, South Carolina on the big screen. Our hope is that this film serves as a powerful reminder that while life gets in the way, it’s never too late to find your way back to each other.
While Last Call is inspired by my upbringing and the culture of my hometown, it speaks to a universal truth: everyone has a place they called home, and everyone has people they miss. This is my attempt to tell our story honestly, through the medium I know best, film.
OUR TEAM
Last Call is written, produced, and directed by Justin Antuan Graves. Justin is an American writer, actor, and producer best known for blending sharp humor with heart. Born in Beaufort, South Carolina, Justin carved out his path in Los Angeles by writing short films and collaborating on hit independent projects. Last Call brings him back to his roots to capture the authentic spirit of his hometown.
The film is produced alongside Jamie Fleming, a Beaufort local and Founder/CEO of EDIFY—a mission-driven organization dedicated to strategic storytelling that shifts perspectives and preserves culture.
We are also joined by producer Peter Henderlite, a film producer and financial executive whose business leadership and independent film background help anchor our production.
Together, our team is committed to telling this story with honesty, care, and authenticity.
