Hi, we’re Tesla and Zack, and we’re asking for your support as we work to officially adopt our nephew, Grayson.

Grayson is almost 5 years old, and for the past two and a half years, he has been living with us. What started as stepping in during a difficult and unexpected time has become something so much bigger—he is already our son in every way that matters.

Grayson is in pre-K and getting ready to start kindergarten this fall at the same school where Zack teaches. He is thriving. He plays soccer, and Zack proudly coaches his t-ball team. He has built strong friendships, including a special bond with his best friend—my best friend’s son—and he is deeply rooted in our community.

This is his home.

Family is a huge part of Grayson’s life. My family is his family—he especially loves his Gigi. He is surrounded by people who love him deeply. Zack’s family has also fully embraced him as their own, and he already has grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who cherish him.

I am a social worker, and Zack is a teacher—caring for children is at the heart of who we are. For the past two and a half years, we have poured everything we have into making sure Grayson feels safe, secure, and loved. Now, we want to give him the one thing he deserves most: permanence.

We are in the process of adopting Grayson, but this step has come with unexpected financial challenges. Between legal fees, home study, court costs, and other required expenses, the total is more than we were prepared for.

We don’t have the savings set aside for this, but we cannot imagine a future where Grayson isn’t permanently part of our family.

Grayson deserves to grow up knowing, without question, that he is home forever. With your help, we can make that a reality.
