About us

Hanze Racing Division is a student Formula team from the Netherlands consisting of more than 40 members. Each year, our team designs and builds a high-performance race car, with some seasons focused on iterations and upgrades. Through Formula Student, we gain hands-on engineering experience while working in a professional, multidisciplinary environment.

What we are building

We are currently developing our first Electric Formula Student car after more than a decade of hand down experience in designing and building combustion engine Formula cars. From the first design sketches to manufacturing, testing, and competition, the car is designed, built, and assembled by students. Competing against universities from across the World allows us to push our skills further and measure our work on an international stage.

Why we need your support

Designing and competing with a Formula Student car requires significant resources, especially when transitioning the powertrain from combustion to electric. Costs quickly add up through materials, manufacturing, testing, and travelling to competitions. With your support, we can continue developing our car, improving its performance, and represent our university at Formula Student events.

How your donation helps

By donating, you directly support students who are passionate about engineering, innovation, and teamwork. Your contribution helps turn our ideas into real solutions on track and allows us to learn by doing, an experience that goes far beyond the classroom.

Specifically, donations will be used to fund critical electrical components of our car, including the accumulator cells, electric motor, and motor controller. These systems are at the heart of our Formula Student Electric car and play a key role in performance, safety, and reliability.
