Hi, my name is Panos Vlassas, and I am a film student at SAE London. As a team, together with some of my colleagues, we are currently working on our student short film "Above and Beyond", which is part of our academic journey.

The story follows Ava, who works in a London office and dreams of a promotion. When her manager, Ida, approaches her after work hours she is convinced that she is closer to her goal. Instead, staged violence, and board members watching from the shadows, bring her in the middle of a scripted loyalty test. Ava unknowingly participates and refuses to cross the line. Her colleague, Sam, wins the job while Ida is praised. Ava hasn’t only lost an opportunity. Now it’s clearer than ever that compassion isn’t the key to the top.

The film is going to be made between 3-9 November and submitted to our academic deadline on the 12th of December. Straight after, we are going to submit it to the film festivals, which are our main goal.
