Greetings!

I'm Safiya Ferryman, the Graduate Study Abroad Coordinator and Acting Clinical Director of the Hampton University Speech Language Hearing Clinic. I am thrilled to announce that our CSAD graduate students will be traveling once again to the beautiful islands of Turks and Caicos.

We’re excited to launch our 2nd Annual Hampton CSAD Study Abroad, a clinical and cultural immersion trip. This year, Hampton University graduate students, alumni leads, and faculty will embark on a 9-day transformational journey—combining service, learning, and cultural exchange.

Our team will host a therapeutic day camp for local children, offering speech, language, and pragmatic services to the Provo community. While supporting the children of TCI, our students will gain invaluable clinical experience and cultural insight that will shape their careers and strengthen their capacity to serve diverse populations.

We are deeply grateful for the incredible financial support and generous donations of clinical supplies we received for last year’s trip. Thanks to the kindness of our alumni, family, friends, and community, our CSAD students were able to travel, serve, and learn without barriers. Your contributions made it possible for us to provide high-quality services. Additionally, it helped create meaningful, real-world learning experiences that our students will carry with them for a lifetime. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in our mission and investing in the future of Hampton clinicians.
