Hey there, my name's Rian and as much as I absolutely hate having to do this, my family, our health, our pets, and our home are more important than our pride.

We live in the hot and humid South Louisiana in a 13-year-old mobile home. Recently, we have encountered a major mold issue in and under our HVAC system due to a serious leak from our AC unit. We're pretty certain that this issue has been present for a long, unknown amount of time due to our health problems that have shown up over the last year. Me, my partner Jay, and our 6-year-old son have all been dealing with chronic headaches, allergies, and congestion. Jay has also experienced muscle and chest pain, while my list of symptoms is pretty much a mile long, but the most severe being joint pain, brain fog, horrible chronic fatigue, insomnia, and a plethora of other problems. On top of our health issues, our pets have been displaying symptoms as well, with the worst being terrible coughing fits from my elderly dog. Because of this being in my AC, it is blowing mold spores all over my house. My unit closet is also located in my kitchen, a room that's impossible to avoid or block off.

This home is where me and my son are 90% of the time due to him being homeschooled here at home.

All this being said, my family lives just under the poverty line and usually after bills, food, and gas we aren't left with much paycheck for anything else. As much as I'd like us to be able to cover the costs, there's no way we can continue to live a healthy, happy life in the time it would take us to save up for something like this. So I've decided to make this GoFundMe in hopes that I can gather enough funds for the demo, repairs, mold removal/treatment, vet check-ups, and a little extra for things that will need to be replaced.

These are a layout of the estimated costs:

Demo and rebuild: 1250

- Demo and rebuild of the HVAC inside unit closet and subflooring

HVAC Cleaning and Repair: 225

- Includes duct cleaning, AC repair, unit cleaning for inside and outside

Air Fog: 3200

This is for ridding my house of the mold the AC is blowing everywhere.

The extra 1,325 will be used to cover any additional costs that pop up, GoFundMe fees, pet wellness visits, and anything that might need to be replaced.
