Help Us Lay Young Rome Soto to Rest

Hi my name is Kaelah Lackey, and I am writing on behalf of our Uncle James Soto to raise funds to cover the funeral costs for my beloved cousin, Roman Soto. It is with a heavy heart that I share that Roman sadly passed away on February 19th, 2025, at the age of 24. His loss has been devastating for our family, and he was taken from us far too early.

Roman was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA, and was a vibrant, happy young man who touched the lives of everyone he met. He spent a great deal of time with his grandparents, Rey and Elva, along with the rest of the cousins. Roman and I shared a unique bond—we were born just one year and two days apart, and we were inseparable throughout our childhood. He was my built-in best friend, and his presence was a constant source of joy in my life.

Roman’s infectious smile and sense of humor brightened any room he walked into. Anyone who knew him could attest to his loyalty, kindness, and the fact that he would always be by your side if you needed him.

As we navigate this incredibly difficult time, any contributions to help cover the funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated. Your support will ease the burden on our family and allow us to honor Roman's memory and say goodbye with the love and dignity he deserves.
