Help Us Lay Xirus Xavier Patino to Rest

Xirus Xavier Patino was born on December 8, 2021 & laid to rest on February 20, 2025.

Xirus was full of love and happiness. He was always smiling and enjoyed playing with his family, friends, & neighbors. He was so friendly. He loved dinosaurs and werewolves. His favorite movie was Jurassic Park. He enjoyed watching Groot, Hulk, & Coco. More than anything, he LOVED a party. He loved to dance & sing. Music was his pride and joy. Xirus enjoyed his Vicente Fernandez just as much as he loved the song La Chona. He was also a little rocker so he enjoyed it all. He loved the world around him. He was fascinated by every color but he always found himself being drawn to the color green. Xirus has two older sisters (Sonya & Gizzelle) & one younger brother (Raiden) who he loved so much. His mom and dad (Monica & Alfredo) are his best friends & have always been by his side. The love they have for each other is indescribable. They radiate beauty. If you have the opportunity to be by their side, you can see & feel the love they have for each other. Xirus is a warrior who fought for his life.

Xrius was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). Doctors told us he wouldn't be able to walk. They told us he would have difficulty doing everyday tasks. However, Xirus proved them wrong. Xirus showed everyone he could do it all. He fought through his pain & showed the world that he could walk. He showed the world he could RUN. This past Christmas Xirus came to Grandpa and Grandma's house & he RAN around their couches while he was playing tag with his cousin Maria and Tia Liz. Xirus knew he could do it all. He even learned to drive a bumper car.

Xirus stole your heart whether you knew him for one minute or three years. His eyes, his eyes lashes, his heart, his soul would capture your heart.

Our baby boy stayed strong till the very end. He survived 8 days in the ICU where he gave us the opportunity to spend more time with him. He allowed for his mom and dad to hold him another day. Even up until the last minute, our baby boy stayed strong.

Xirus deserves the world and we ask that you grant us the opportunity to lay him to rest in the best place possible. He was only 3 years old.
