Help Us Bring Wilson Kipkorir Koech Home
It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Wilson Kipkorir Koech, a Kenyan national who was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident in Seattle. His sudden passing has left a profound void in the lives of his children, family, and all who loved him.
Wilson was deeply beloved. He was the father of five children—my daughters, Chione J. Koech and Searlait Koech, his beloved children in Kenya, Staline and Caren, whom I love dearly, and his son in the United States, Quincy. He is also mourned by a host of loving siblings, extended family members, and friends whose lives were touched by him.
In accordance with Kenyan cultural and tribal traditions, it is deeply important that Wilson be returned to his homeland to be laid to rest on his ancestral land. Bringing him home is an act of love, respect, and honor for his children, his family, and his community.
We are seeking support to help cover the significant and unexpected costs associated with:
• Transporting Wilson’s body from the United States to Kenya
• Required legal and documentation fees
• Funeral and burial expenses in his tribal lands
Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help us honor Wilson’s life and ensure he is laid to rest with dignity among his people. If you are unable to donate, we ask that you please consider sharing this page and keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
With gratitude,
Wilson's loving Family
Note: We cannot set a service date until we have the funds to repatriate Wilson.
