Aloha friends and family,

With heavy hearts, we are reaching out for support as we mourn the loss of our beloved Tyler - a partner, father, brother, uncle, son, grandson, and friend. He leaves behind his partner of 12 years and their three daughters, who meant everything to him. Ty touched the lives of many and his absence leaves an ache that words can't describe.

I'm creating this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Jahvina (Duckie), who has lost not only her life partner but the father of her children. As she faces this unimaginable loss, she's also navigating the overwhelming costs of funeral arrangements and the reality of supporting her daughters on her own.

We want to give Ty the peaceful, respectful farewell he deserves - and ensure that his family has the time and space to begin healing without the added weight of financial stress.

Please don’t be intimidated by the set goal amount. While funeral and cremation costs are part of it, this fundraiser also aims to support Tyler's partner of 12 years (my sister) as she navigates this incredibly difficult time. She’ll be taking unpaid time off work to handle arrangements and grieve, all while caring for their three daughters on her own. Every donation helps lighten that load—even a small amount makes a difference. We don’t expect to necessarily hit the full target, but it was set with all the upcoming financial burdens in mind—things that will now fall solely on my sister’s shoulders. This includes not just the funeral and cremation costs, but also helping her stay afloat while she’s out of work, grieving, and caring for her three daughters on her own. The goal is simply a reflection of the challenges ahead, and any support—big or small—is deeply appreciated.
