No one should ever have to bury a child.
Our hearts are broken as we say goodbye to Sebastian Tennie, who passed away at just 7 years old after a long, painful battle with brain cancer. He had Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor (ATRT), a rare, fast-growing, and aggressive cancerous tumor that affects the central nervous system. He had 6 tumors in his head. He went through so much for someone so small (chemotherapy, radiation, surgeries, and recovery). He fought hard and held on longer than anyone expected, but his little body just couldn’t take anymore.
He leaves behind two siblings — a little sister, Celeste, and an older brother, Zack, who is headed back to school in anguish. They don’t fully understand, but they feel the shift in their world. Their home is different.
We’re asking for help — not just to lay Sebastian to rest, but to ease the burden on his family and give his brother and sister the support they need to start healing. This wasn’t expected. And like most families, they weren’t prepared for something like this — financially or emotionally.
Every little bit helps. If you can give, please do. If you can’t, please share this. We’re just trying to make sure our Sebastian gets the peace he deserves, and that the two kids he loved most in this world aren’t left to carry this weight alone.
Thank you for caring. Thank you for helping.
