Seeking help to bury our sister, Sandy.

Sandra J Harden Rial (Pete) 65 years old passed away yesterday July 29 @6:27pm. Sandy had struggled with a lot of medical issues. She had back & neck surgeries throughout her life. She was put on oxygen for COPD many years ago. Her last journey started in Camden Clark Hospital in Parkersburg, WV. She was fighting COPD and now ARDS. She had pneumonia and blood clots in both lungs. She went from oxygen to a C Pap to a ventilator, with nothing more they could do, they sent her to Ruby Hospital in Morgantown WV by special transport. We had one last hope for a test called proning, where they would flip her body to try to give her lungs time to heal. It was not successful either. Hence the damage to her eye, nose and chin due to pressure points from not being able to turn her head due to all the hardware in her neck from past surgeries.

It was time to make a decision. They stopped the paralyzing medication. Then the coma medicine, and after several hrs we did comfort measures. She took her last breath with her family by her side. She left behind 2 daughters, Kim and Chrissy. A granddaughter and grandson, which she absolutely adored! 3 sisters and a brother. We are ALL heartbroken!
