Hi, my name is Vijay, and I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help after the sudden and tragic loss of my little brother, Ryan.

Ryan was born in Guyana and came to Canada as a teenager in hopes of building a better life. He was just 34 years old when his life was taken from us in a terrible accident. His loss has left a silence in our lives that's hard to describe and a hole we don't know how to fill.

Ryan was a proud dad to his 9-year-old daughter, Isabel, who was his whole world. He worked hard, stayed humble, and always put his family first. He was a brother, an uncle, a friend - and above all, he was good. Sweet, silly, and kind, Ryan had a way of making people laugh and feel at ease. He had the kind of gentle spirit that stuck with you. He didn't have an easy life, but he loved hard and gave freely of his heart.

Losing him has left us shattered. It's hard to put into words the pain we're feeling - the shock, the grief, and the helplessness. And now, we're faced with something no family is ever prepared for: planning a funeral we can't afford. Adding to the heartbreak, our parents are still in Guyana and due to circumstances beyond their control, won't be able to come say goodbye to their son.

We want to honor Ryan with the love and dignity he deserves. We want to give Isabel a place to visit her dad and give our family a chance to say goodbye properly.
