Help us lay our special needs Angel to rest
Donation protected
Our special boy passed away from his traumatic brain injury on August 16, 2023 after a 22 year battle. Jesse was shaken by his biological father at 6 weeks old and we took him into our loving home at 12 weeks. For 22 years he tried to thrive and grow, but because his brain was mostly destroyed, he could never walk or talk. But, he had his own way of showing love to us. We were blessed to have that love for 22 years and so thankful that he chose us to be his parents. Jesse left us so unexpectedly that we have been left unable to pay his final expenses to lay him to rest.
Jesse was such a loving soul that never hurt anyone in his life. Everyone that met him fell in love with him, from teachers to neighbors and his medical team. He loved music to the end and had to have it every day. Somehow, a Celtic band named the Boatrights (of TN-we think) touched his heart and when the girls would sing he would cry tears of joy. (especially Red, Red Rose and Caledonia). We are heartbroken with his loss. Jesse was expected to be permanently blind and paralyzed after his injury, but he pulled through and managed to succeed despite the prognosis. Mom worked and worked with him to get him off his feeding tube and at the end, meatloaf was his favorite food.
Please accept our sincere thank you to anyone that donates. Jesse deserved so much more, but our family did everything we could to make his life as happy as possible. We lost him way too soon and still don’t know why. We just have to think that GOD rewarded him with wings and freedom. We never thought our lives would go down this path but Baby Jesse is the greatest gift we could ever have received.
Thank you and bless you all.
