With heavy hearts, we share that our beautiful mother, Maxine Puckett, unexpectedly passed away at her home on February 10th. Our family is devastated as we try to process this heartbreaking and sudden loss.
My mother was my world. In her final years, I became her full-time caregiver, ensuring she was safe, loved, and cared for with dignity. She was living with dementia, and as her health declined, each medical emergency took a toll on her body and our hearts. I became her voice and advocate through every difficult decision. Caring for her was an honor, and now we are trying to advocate for her one last time.
In addition to the emotional devastation of losing our mother, we are now facing unexpected financial hardship. After numerous attempts over the past few years, our family was unable to secure life insurance for our mother due to her turbulent medical history. Unfortunately, as her full-time caregiver, my primary income has now ended. In the midst of our grief, we are also trying to navigate the sudden loss of income while covering the costs of laying our mother to rest.
I want nothing more than to give our mother the peaceful, beautiful send-off she deserves—one that truly honors the incredible woman she was and the love she gave so freely. Any donation, no matter how small, will help ease this burden and allow us to focus on healing and honoring her memory.
If you are unable to donate, we ask that you please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers and consider sharing this page.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, compassion, and support during one of the most difficult moments of our lives.
