It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden and tragic loss of our mother, Barby Lee Biles Shahan. Her passing was unexpected, and our family is still trying to process the shock and grief that came with losing her so suddenly.

Our mom was the kind of person who gave freely of herself—her time, her love, and her strength. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, a steady presence for those she loved, and someone who showed up for others even when life was hard. Her absence has left a space that can never be filled.

Because her death was unforeseen, we were unprepared for the financial burden that comes with funeral and burial expenses. We are asking for help to cover the costs of laying her to rest with the dignity and care she deserves. Any funds raised will go directly toward funeral services, burial costs, and related final expenses.
