Hi, my name is Patricia, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of myself and my brother, Oliver, to help cover the funeral and burial expenses for our beloved mother, Damaris Garcia de Snow—also affectionately known as Maye, Maya, Memo, or Maris to those who loved her.

Our mama passed away on July 17th, after an aggressive battle with Parkinson's. She had carried the same life insurance policy since the 1990s, but while she was hospitalized, it unfortunately lapsed without our knowledge. We didn’t find out until after her passing, and it has left us struggling to cover the cost of giving her the peaceful farewell she deserves.

The total cost of her funeral and burial is $10,600, and we are hoping to raise $11,500 to help cover those expenses along with the payment processing fees deducted from each donation by GoFundMe.

Mama was the heart of our family—loving, strong, gentle, and full of humor. She gave everything she had to care for us, and now we want to honor her life with dignity, love, and respect.
