The last couple of days have been some of the hardest that my family has ever had. Two days ago, my younger sister Sierra, her husband Curry , and their three kids (Ella, an amazing 4 yr old aspiring gymnast, Sophia, a 2 yr old wild child that is nothing but smiles & laughter, and the youngest 2-month old Liam Cain) were a happy family with only happiness filling their walls.
Everything changed at 4 am yesterday morning when Dad had to get up to go to work, my sister went to check on Baby Liam. She saw that he wasn't breathing so Dad immediately started CPR while mom called 911. They both continued to take turns giving him CPR as they waited for the ambulance to arrive. Dad took off running to the end of the driveway with Liam as soon as he seen lights coming from down the road. Although Baby Liam had a very faint heartbeat at this point, they had hope it wasn't too late. The Medics worked on Baby Liam in their yard for about 30 mins doing everything they could, before deciding it was time to go to the hospital. This little warrior, Liam was so strong and refused to give up. There at the hospital, the Dr. and his team took over and continued trying to get him stable. But by 6 am, my little buddy couldn't hold on any longer and passed away.
Even though Baby Liam had only been in this world 2 months, he stole the hearts of everyone that met him and will be missed greatly.
If you are able to donate anything to help with medical bills, ambulance cost, a headstone for Liam's grave, and funds to help my sister's family during this difficult time of bereavement, it will all be greatly appreciated!
