Help Us Lay Our Beloved Aunt Karen to Rest
Donation protected
It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Aunt Karen Austin, who left us unexpectedly on July 5th, just weeks before her 65th birthday on July 31st.
Karen passed during the process of receiving a double lung transplant — something she hoped would give her a new chance at life. A life where she could breathe freely, spend more time with her family, grandkids, dance again, go to the beach, and no longer be dependent on an oxygen tank. Her dream was to enjoy the little things: laughter, movement, and peace.
She was 64 years old and full of love, kindness, and hope. Karen brought light and warmth to everyone around her. Her sense of humor, gentle heart, and strong spirit were unforgettable. This photo shows her joy — always ready for a smile, even during the hardest times.
As our family mourns this tremendous loss, we are also facing unexpected funeral and medical expenses. We’re asking for your help to raise $14,000 to give Karen the peaceful and dignified farewell she so deeply deserves.
Every donation — big or small — makes a difference and brings us closer to honoring her memory the way she deserves. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with others.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support, kindness, and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
With love and gratitude,
Chrissy & Family
