Help Us Raise Afterlife Funds for Nicklas Harbison

I’m creating this GoFundMe to raise funds for the cremation and final arrangements for a dear friend of mine, Nicklas Harbison.

Nicklas and I met through work, and he quickly became more than just a coworker, he became family. He has been one of the most loyal and compassionate people I’ve ever known. Whenever I needed a hand, a kind word, or someone to lean on, Nicklas was there without hesitation. Another friend of Nicklas has mentioned how he was always there for her through hard times as well. Nicklas always had a way to put a smile on everyone's face.

Now, at only 46 years old, Nicklas was in hospice care. His time with us was heartbreakingly short, and he did not have any family nearby here in Fresno except for his Mother who is in a nursing home. Another friend of his and I did everything we could to make sure he was not alone, and that he was surrounded by all the love in his final moments. He passed away August 1st, 2025. His Mom and friends were at his bedside when he passed.

Nicklas spent much of his life caring for others. He was the primary caregiver for both of his parents; his father passed some years ago, and his mother is unable to care for herself. Even in the face of his own declining health, Nicklas tried to ensure she was cared for and felt included.

Unfortunately, Nicklas did not have any afterlife plans or savings set aside for final expenses, nor can we touch his bank account for legal reasons. That’s why we’re reaching out to the community, to those who know him and those moved by his story, to ask for help.

We want to give Nicklas the dignity he deserves. Your donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward cremation services and ensuring his passing is honored with respect and care.
