Hello. My name is Iris Byrd. I am Kennedy Leihsing’s great-aunt. As you probably already know, Kennedy passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, January 25. An autopsy is being done to determine the cause, and right now, it is believed due to heart inflammation related to COVID. She was only 15 years old. Needless to say, no one expects their child to die and she had no life insurance. Kennedy was so smart and kind, and she loved life and always put others before herself. She was beautiful in all respects.

While some of her funeral and burial expenses are covered, many aren’t. Because of this, the family is setting up this Go Fund Me page for her to help with remaining expenses. If you are so moved as to donate, no matter how small of an amount, we would be forever grateful for your love and generosity.

The funeral will be middle of next week awaiting the completion of the autopsy. Details will be posted as soon as they become available.

So, so many of you have reached out to us so far, and your prayers, love, and encouragement have been so helpful and have meant so very much. It’s hard to ask for help, but sometimes life gives you no choice.
