As many of you know, my dad, Jerry Hill, passed away on November 13th. While going through his things, I found a contract he started with Laurel Land Funeral Home back in 2024. At first, the funeral home couldn’t locate the contract in their system, and after two weeks of back and forth, they finally found it—only to let me know that no payments had ever been made toward it.

Because of that, the cost for a basic cremation and the required fees will be about $5,000, which I am currently unable to cover on my own.

Since his passing, many of his friends have reached out asking about funeral or memorial plans. So many of you knew him well—some even better than I did in recent years—and I’m grateful for the love and memories you’ve shared.

If anyone would like to plan a memorial for him, you are absolutely welcome to do so. I will be there and will help however I can. But right now, my focus is simply on covering the cremation expenses and bringing his ashes home.
