Help us bury our beloved Jeff the Gentle Giant (Jeff Pangburn). He may be gone but not forgotten! He was an uncle to some, a brother to a few, a friend to many, and a son to one.
We are laying Jeff to rest on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 10 AM at the Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery in Everett, WA. It is followed by a memorial service at 11 AM at Gospel Light Church in Everett, WA.
A community memorial service will be held from 1 PM to 3 PM on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at The Center in Oak Harbor, WA.
Update: The Memorial in Oak Harbor on November 15th was GREAT! It was attended by over 100 people paying tribute to the life of Jeff! We heard many wonderful memories of Jeff and the things he would do for others!
Jeff the Gentle Giant (Jeff Pangburn) leaves behind his mother and two siblings; an older brother Jon and a younger sister Cheryl.
My name is Dan and I am Jeff Pangburn's brother-in-law, by my marriage to Cheryl (Pangburn) Rafert. I set up this account for the purpose of helping the family pay the burial expenses. The expenses are in excess of $24,000!
I, Dan Rafert, am a God-fearing Christian man and promise that every dollar raised will ONLY go to help bury our beloved Jeff. I lowered our goal, it is now $18,000. Should there be any excess money raised / donated beyond $18,000 it will go directly to the non-profit SPiN Cafe located in Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island.
Since Jeff's passing on November 1st, 2025, we have seen an outpouring of love for him through online social media accounts. Over a thousand people showed their sadness and shock by reacting to posts when they heard the news. Hundreds of people have commented and told stories of the kind, generous and all around likeable man that he was. His life was troubled and far from easy yet he cared deeply for those around him and would do anything he could to help others. In spite of how little he had, he gave so much joy to those who knew him.
If you have the means and feel called to donate, the family would deeply appreciate your help in giving Jeff a respectable final resting place.
