Help Us Lay Jacquelyn Roofener to Rest
Our family is grieving the sudden loss of Jacqie—a woman with a tender heart, a free spirit, and a soul deeply connected to the earth and nature. Her passing came without warning, and it’s left a hole that feels impossible to fill—especially for her children and her mother, Paula, who is now faced with the heartbreaking task of saying goodbye to her daughter.
Jacquelyn was the beloved daughter of Paula and Rodney, the mother of Anthony, Ciana, Sophia, Vincent, and Lydia—and the proud grandmother of Liam. Life wasn’t always easy, but one thing was certain: she loved her children and grandson deeply.
Jacquelyn saw the world through a different lens. She found beauty where others might not—in pine trees and pinecones, in the smell of the forest, in the healing power of herbs. She was drawn to natural things, simple things. Her hands were often in the dirt, tending to plants or reaching out to help someone else, even if she had nothing left for herself.
She was spiritual. She loved the old Native American ways and believed in signs, energy, and the wisdom of the earth. And even with all that she faced, she still gave—her time, her attention, whatever small things she could—to the local homeless community. That’s just who she was.
We’re asking for support—not because our family can’t find a way to cover the costs, but because no mother should have to shoulder this kind of heartbreak alone. If coming together can ease even a small part of that pain, then we want to try.
If you can donate, we are so deeply grateful. And if you can’t, please share. Every little bit helps more than you know.
Thank you for loving Jacquelyn with us—for seeing her not just for her struggles, but for the light she tried so hard to hold onto. She wasn’t perfect. None of us are. But she was real, and she was loved. And she mattered.
Rest In Paradise Jacqie
May your spirit finally rest.
