Help Us Lay Irene “Peanut” Foster to Rest

On Monday, May 26th, our beloved Irene Foster—known to so many simply as Peanut—passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories. She was the heart of our family, a woman who always put others before herself and lived a life full of compassion and generosity.

Peanut was the kind of person who made everyone feel like family. Whether you knew her for years or just met her once, you felt her warmth immediately. She had a gift for making people feel cared for, and it showed in everything she did—especially when she cooked. Her yams and homemade dressing were legendary, and she never sat down to eat until everyone else had their plate. That’s just who she was—selfless to the very end.

She loved playing Spades and spending time with the people she cared about most. She leaves behind two loving sons, Malcolm and Farrakhan who are now faced with the unexpected emotional and financial burden of laying their mother to rest.
