Gladys Njeri's Funeral and Family expenses
Donation protected
Dear friends,
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend, mother, and daughter, Gladys Njeri of Acworth, GA. She passed away while undergoing treatment at Northside Cherokee Hospital after bravely battling a long illness at the age of 44.
Ms. Gladys was the mother of Esther, Sandra and Lisa, and the only child of Jane Mugure Njau of Uthiru, Kenya. She was legally blind and a single mother who dedicated her life to raising her children to ensure their well-being, and making them feel loved and blessed. At the same time, she was known in the community as Auntie Gladys to the children she took care of for almost twenty years, as a childcare provider. Ms. Gladys has been a friend and sister to many, steadfast and strong during adversities, and always a shining beacon to those who called her friend and sister. She loved to sing worship songs at her local church and at fellowship events.
Her passing has left her daughters in shock and confusion, which prompted us to reach out to the community for help with the funeral expenses, on behalf of her children. We would like to help them lay their mother to rest and give her the memorial she deserves. As they prepare to resume their studies while going through loss, we would like to ask everyone who can help, to donate towards the unexpected expenses they are facing now and the unclear future they are worried about.
Our Fundraiser goal is $20,000 before January 2nd 2021. Please consider donating as any amount will truly help Ms. Gladys daughters during this difficult time and the future they are not yet prepared for. All donations will go to an account set up for Ms. Gladys' daughters, which will go towards the funeral costs. Any extra funds will go towards their expenses as they try to adjust to life financially.
We encourage you to share this link in order to reach those willing and able to donate. No gift is too small.
There will be a memorial/fundraiser service today, on December 27th 2020, at 3:00 p.m. EST @ Kenyan American Community Church (KACC), 771 Elberta Dr. Marietta, Ga 30066.
Attend Virtually @ KACC Media TV.
The funeral will be held on January 2nd, 2021. Funeral site information will be communicated soon.
Thank you dearly.
