Luis and Carla Mendez

Hello everyone,

Our family is reaching out with heavy hearts during an unimaginable time. We are currently facing two devastating tragedies involving our beloved siblings, Carla and Luis Mendez.

Carla is currently in hospice care after a sudden and aggressive diagnosis. Her strength and courage have been nothing short of inspiring, and we are cherishing every moment we have with her as she fights her final battle.

While our family was already struggling to process Carla’s condition, we were shattered by the news that her brother, Luis, was tragically murdered. Luis was only 33 years old, a loving father, son, and brother. His life was taken far too soon and so violently, leaving behind two young daughters and a family overwhelmed by grief.

We were not prepared—emotionally or financially—for the weight of this loss. We now face the challenge of managing Carla’s medical needs while grieving the unimaginable.

• Support for Luis’ mother and father financially since they are not able to provide for their family right now

• Additional family needs as we navigate this tragedy
