Donation protected
Orion Pax is a tiny heart warrior who lost his battle with hypoplastic left heart syndrome at just 4 months old.
Please consider helping his parents Roman & Jess give him a permanent resting place that they can visit.
>>We know this is a tough time for many. We greatly appreciate every view, share, and contribution.
We will continue to update this fundraiser.
Below is a short overview of Orion's story.
----------------------------------------------------------------
In Spring of 2019 Roman & Jess got the news they'd been looking forward to, they were going to be parents!
There was a lot of excitement for the then newlyweds to start their family.
During an ultrasound appointment they received the news that would change their lives; their sweet baby boy had a heart defect called hypoplastic left heart syndrome.
To say the news worried them would be an understatement. It forever changed the trajectory of their lives and the lives of their extended family.
It was clear at the time that the path forward would be tough and yet their little heart warrior kept growing.
A medical team was assembled, family notified, everyone preparing to help the little warrior fight.

Orion Pax was born on: 11/24/2019 at 10:22 am.
Here is one of the first pictures of him with his namesake…

After a short stay in the hospital he was able to go home to his parents & grandparents.
In time to bring some Christmas cheer...

In the months that followed at home there were low oxygen scares, a stent procedure, medicine to manage, and vitals to check.
Among that there were also all the usual joys of loving a baby...the first smiles...

the cute outfits...

and above all else spending lots of time being loved by his parents and family.
------------------------------------
The next step in his treatment was open heart surgery. It was his first major operation that would repair the defect.
It was also a risky surgery, one that his worried parents knew was necessary but dreaded.
Again his extended family waited on updates...cheering him on...and looking forward to hearing that he'd again won the battle.
Hours after beginning, the team relayed the great news - Orion had exceeded expectations. He'd won the first part of the battle. His parents were relieved and settled into recovery.
Then suddenly everything changed...
and despite all the love, happy thoughts, prayers, and heroic efforts of an amazing medical team...
Our family's happy, adorable, heart warrior's body was tired...too tired to keep fighting.
On April 11th at 2:35 pm Orion Pax passed away peacefully...in his parents arms...enjoying what always brought him peace...enjoying the view from a window.
Please consider helping his parents Roman & Jess give him a permanent resting place that they can visit.
