Help Us Lay Alfredo Romero to Rest
Donation protected
On May 16th, our father, Alfredo Romero, tragically lost his life while working his shift as a mechanic at Recology San Francisco. What should have been a routine workday ended in an unthinkable loss for our family.
Alfredo was a dedicated employee with over 40 years in the waste management industry—first at BFI and then over two decades with Recology. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 350, known for his strong work ethic, quiet dependability, and unwavering commitment to his team.
He is survived by his children—Michelle, Danielle, and Joseph Romero—and four grandchildren who adored him: Savanah, Madeline, Striker, and Steel.
His union leadership described him as “a vital part of our Local 350 family.” His passing has sent shockwaves through both his coworkers and loved ones. Our hearts are broken.
Now, we’re left trying to navigate the emotional weight of his loss alongside the overwhelming financial burden of his burial.
We are raising funds to cover the cost of a traditional burial, which is vital to us as we work to honor his final wish—to be laid to rest alongside his late parents, brothers, and grandparents. The quoted cost for his burial plot alone is $26,000, and does not include the casket, funeral home services, or memorial arrangements.
We were not prepared for this. We’re doing everything we can to give our father the respectful and peaceful farewell he deserves, and any contribution you can make—big or small—means the world to us.
