My name is Ezi, and I am writing this on behalf of my family during one of the most difficult times we have ever faced. It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved father, Alejandro Ruiz, on August 21, 2026. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him knows that he was one of a kind. We called him our "social butterfly." He loved his family and friends dearly and always made sure that nobody ever felt left out. At any gathering, he was the one to make everyone feel like family. He had the funniest stories and always remembered a specific interaction with each individual person that he knew, especially if it was embarrassing.

One of the most important things that our dad instilled in us is that family and culture are sacred and should be shared freely and never forgotten, with no strings attached. He was a defender of his children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and even if they weren't family, he stood up for what was right without caring about the consequences.

He was very proud of our Mexican culture and made sure we always remembered our history. He welcomed all and loved to learn about all cultures.

Now we want to make sure that he is able to return to his home in Mexico to be laid to rest with his family. We are raising funds to be able to not only pay for the service and funeral costs, but the transportation fees that come with getting him to his final resting place in Sonora, Mexico. All together this works out to about $12,000 in costs. Any donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated, and if you are unable to donate, even just sharing this with others would be a huge help. Me llamo Ezi y estoy escribiendo por mi Familia en este tiempo tan dificil, uno de los peores que hemos vivido. Con nuestro corazon destrosado, les hacemos saber que nuestro querido Padre, Alejandro Ruiz fallecio Agosto 21, 2026. Todos que haigan tenido el placer de conocerlo saben que era Unico. Le llamabamos nuestra "Mariposa Social". Amaba a su familia y amistades, y se aseguraba que nadie se sintiera excluyido. Cuando la familia o amistades se juntaban, el se aseguraba que todos convivieran como si ya fueran FAMILIA antes que se acabara la noche. Tenia historias chistosas de su vida y la gente a su alrededor. Le encantaba dar carrilla. Se acordaba de todas las interacciones que tenia con cada persona que conocia.

Una de las cosas mas importantes que nuestro Papa instilo en nosotros que familia y cultura son sagradas y compartirlas sin esfuerzo. Especialmente no olvidarlas. Era defensor de sus Hijos, sobrinos, sobrinas, y aunque no fueran familia sin importarle las consequencias. Era muy orgulloso de su cultura Mexicana y le encantaba aprender de otras culturas y la recibia con brazos abiertos.

Ahora queremos asegurarnos que pueda regresar a su Mexico querido para descansar en paz junto a su familia. Estamos recaudando fondos para su transportacion a Sonora, Mexico. Todo junto saldria como 12,000.00 dolares.
