Hi everyone,
It's with the heaviest of hearts that our family shares the devastating news of my beloved big brother, Albert "Beto" Cubero's, unexpected passing. Albert was found unresponsive in his bed on June 20, 2025 at the age of 37, just two days after our mom’s birthday. We are heartbroken.
Albert was more than just my brother; he raised me alongside our mom in California City, CA. His impact on my life (and many others) is something I am forever grateful for. Anyone who knew Beto instantly recognized his big laugh and big heart. He was a loving son, a devoted brother, and a friend to so many.
Albert was a man that constantly worked on improving himself and trying his best to enjoy life. He had just earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University in December 2024 and was actively pursuing a promotion at Northrop Grumman. He'd recently got his passport and was excited to start traveling! Albert had made an incredible transformation, losing over 170 pounds since 2020 after a lifelong struggle with weight.
It breaks our hearts that we will never get to see the future he was working so hard for and that he will never get to see his 2-year-old niece grow up.
We are now faced with the unexpected and substantial costs of giving Albert the dignified farewell he deserves. We are humbly asking for your support to help us cover these expenses.
Our immediate needs include:
- Burial Plot (in Los Angeles): $12,000 - $17,500
- Viewing & Funeral Services: $6,900
- Casket: Starting at $2,700
- Burial: $4,000
- Catering for Reception: $1,000
- Total Estimated Costs: $26,600 - $32,100
No amount is too small, and even sharing this page means more than we can say. Please keep us in your prayers. Thank you all so much for your help in this difficult time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us honor Albert's beautiful life.
With love and gratitude,
Matthew Cubero & Family
