Help Us Launch Sope: A Plastic-Free Solution

Our mission is to create a more sustainable world. We want to reduce plastic usage and switch to more sustainable alternatives. Plastic soap bottles, which we use daily, are unsustainable and contribute to plastic pollution. To combat this, we have developed a soap product that uses a detergent-based shell to house liquid soap.

Our product is an outer shell made of bar soap that can hold liquid soap inside, which we call the Sope. Although sustainable, many people avoid bar soaps due to hygiene and inconvenience. The Sope combines the convenience and familiarity of liquid soap with an detergent-based bottle shell that can be used for laundry. The Sope comes with a reusable stainless steel pump that can be removed and transferred to the next Sope once all the liquid soap has been used. The Sope is dipped in a thin layer of beeswax to keep the exterior waterproof. While other companies have refillable bottles or provide resupply, these still require the use of plastic bottles, which are hard to clean for proper recycling. With a detergent-based shell, this soap bottle will decrease plastic bottle usage and support a sustainable world.

For the moment, we are starting with hand soap, but once we prove that there is demand for our product and it is commercially viable, we plan to move on to other products such as shampoo and body wash so that we can cover more of the soap industry.
