We're the Portland Outdoor Explorers - an outdoor education company serving a childcare desert in Portland, Oregon. We are building community in our neighborhoods with a focus on three core values:

Knowledge. Care. Stewardship.

We will be starting after-school programming on March 1, and we need your help! POE is a small startup co-owned by five outdoor educator coworkers who, due to unforeseen circumstances, suddenly found themselves jobless. POE, therefore, doesn't have much money to start with, and we need initial funding to pay our staff a living wage starting March 1.

Our dream is to provide the highest quality care possible in this childcare desert, pass along our knowledge and skills, and be good stewards of the earth and client resources. Using community-focused, place-based education in our urban outdoor environments, POE will live out our focus: "Hope for our neighborhoods. Harmony with our world."

Thank you so much for any help you can provide! If you are unable to donate money at this time, please consider sharing this fundraiser with friends and family. Please reach out to us for information on how to donate gear or educational supplies.
