Hello All!
We are very excited to share amazing news! After working in Ditmas Park/Flatbush area for over 7 years as home school educators we have decided to create our very own full-time program with a permanent location. Our ultimate goal is to serve more families in our immidiate community. It's been so rewarding to create memories, friendships and important emotional and academic experiences for young children in our neighborhood. We love seeing our families that have known us for almost 10 years in this community. We are thankful to so many of you for supporting us over the years!
Our new space will provide full-time in-home care for children ages 2.5-4.5. Additionally we will offer after school and camp programs for children ages 2.5-8. At the moment we are working on improving our space, school related paperwork process as well as financials for our program. We are reaching out to all of you, in order to help us raise some funds for our school. To offer great quality care we would love to create a welcoming environment with up-to-date materials for young children.
Location: Newkirk Plaza/East Flatbush Area
Ages of children for preschool: 2-4.5 years old
Ages of children for summer camp: 2.5-8 years old
We are currently in need of:
New Classroom Furniture
Indoor/Outdoor Children equipment
New AC/Heat System
Classroom supplies (art materials, Montessori materials, learning toys, books etc)
A little more about us: We practice a combination of play-based and Montessori learning. We encourage children to be part of their community by learning social skills, language skills, care of their toys and environment and compassion for their classmates. We explore science, art, music, dance and cooking as well as academic skills: letters, numbers, spatial relations, categorizing and association skills. We spend a lot of time outside!
We are led by two full-time teachers, Arielle Pezold and Sasha Maslouskaya. Arielle is Montessori-trained and started the coop for her own son (who is now 9 years old). She has an M. Ed., 5 years experience teaching at Montessori schools and has run a coop in the neighborhood for the last 7 years. Sasha has over 7 years of home school teaching experience, as well as experience teaching in several preschools, private and public schools. Sasha has a double BA in Childhood Education from Brooklyn College.
We appreciate you ALL SO much! =)
We are hoping to see our community grow even more over the next years! Thank you so much for taking your time and effort in trying to help us!
