Help Us Launch MARSH & MALLOW CO.

After Freddie and I lost our jobs at a former s'mores company, we were inspired to take matters into our own hands and create MARSH & MALLOW CO. — a s'mores catering business that fills the void left behind. We know how disappointing it can be for clients who have lost their dessert caterer, and we’re here to bring the joy of s’mores back to those events. This GoFundMe will help us cover the startup costs. Any support you can provide means the world to us, and we’re grateful for your help in making MARSH & MALLOW CO. a reality. Thank you so much!

1. Where will my donation go?
Your contribution is solely for building MARSH & MALLOW CO. — it will not be used to pay ourselves. Every dollar will go towards bringing this dream of owning our own business & filling the void of s’mores, to life.

2. What will the funds cover?
Your support will help us invest in modern roasting setups, business fees and licenses, administrative costs, product sourcing, and even a future s'mores cart! We're covering everything we can think of to ensure a successful launch.

3. Will you be using handmade products?
No, we’re opting for high-quality, commercially sourced ingredients to ensure the business is profitable and sustainable for the long term. This decision along with a limited menu for 2024 allows us to focus on growth without the added costs of in-house production.

4. What if I lost my dessert caterer?
We’re offering a significantly reduced rate to all 2024 couples who have been left without dessert due to the closure of the previous catering company. Send us a text to discuss!

5. Are you bringing back your former coworkers?
As our business grows and we know we can support them financially, we hope to rehire as many of our friends and coworkers as possible, giving them an opportunity to join this new crew if they choose.

6. When can we book your services?
For now, we are accepting bookings through December. Our goal is to be out at weddings in 3 weeks, pending how fast we can raise the monies. We want to make sure we’re fully prepared before opening our 2025 calendar. Once we get through the holidays and are confident in our operations, we’ll start taking more reservations.

7. Who else will your bookings income support?
We’re committed to hiring as many of the vendors we’ve built relationships with as possible, helping them replace any lost income due to the closure of the previous business.


Neither of us have owned a business before, but we’ve consulted with many trusted small businesses to ensure we’re on the best path forward. We’re confident in the future of MARSH & MALLOW CO., with a strong and reliable P&L process. We’re intentionally keeping things simple for now, focusing on roasting s’mores without overextending ourselves or making things financially complicated. We are thrilled to bring the joy of s’mores to your events, and we’re incredibly grateful for your support. Thank you for believing in us!
