Help Us Launch Castor Gardens Middle School Football!
My name is Bill Donohoe, and I’m starting the very first football program at Castor Gardens Middle School in Northeast Philadelphia—completely from scratch. Our school serves an inner-city population where many families simply can't afford the high cost of equipment, cleats, or uniforms. We’ve been given little to no funding, but that won’t stop us from trying to give our students an incredible opportunity. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to fully equip our team with helmets, pads, jerseys, and all the essentials to safely and proudly represent their school on the field. We’ll also gladly accept donations of new or gently used football equipment.
We have great kids—hardworking, dedicated, and full of potential. With the right structure and support, they can grow into successful student-athletes in high school and beyond. Since COVID, I’ve helped bring back baseball (22-2-1 over the last three seasons) and basketball (16-1 over the last two seasons). These aren’t just numbers—they represent effort, pride, and belief in what’s possible. With over 15 years coaching high school basketball and football at La Salle College High School and my own background as a college baseball player, I know what the right mentorship and discipline can do. Every donation counts, and anyone who gives $100 or more will receive a Castor Gardens Football T-shirt as our thanks. Please help us build something special from the ground up.
