Whip ‘n Dip has been family owned and operated since it was founded in 1985. Our small ice cream shoppe has served as a staple in the Coral Gables/South Miami community for over 30 years. In fact, July 4th of 2020 will mark our 35th year of business! However, the novel coronavirus known as COVID-19 has impacted our small family business. Although we are confident we will eventually get through these tough times, we are asking our community to help us keep our staff.
Whip ‘n Dip could not have created a fun, family atmosphere without the help of some of our community’s best young men and women. Whip ‘n Dip makes a point of hiring fun, engaging and hard-working employees, who always welcome our guests with a smile. That is why we are asking our community to help us keep our staff!
These young men and women are the heart and soul of our small business. Most are recent college grads or young professionals who were laid off from their full-time jobs and are making every penny count! Please help us keep these young men and women employed and/or paid during these tough times. A large number of our staff have been laid off due to underlying health conditions (asthma, diabetes) and are not able to receive a paycheck.
The Gofundme organization has vouched to donate $500 if we raise $500 ourselves. However, our goal is to raise 35k in light of our upcoming 35th anniversary!* All monies collected will be used and distributed to aid Whip ' n Dip employees.*
