Open Heart Surgery Recovery Fund for Tiara.

Hi everyone — I don’t normally ask for help, but my family is in a really hard place right now.

My wife recently had open-heart surgery to repair her mitral valve. While she was still recovering, she began experiencing intense pain in her leg. We rushed to the hospital, and after a CT scan and ultrasound, they found multiple blood clots. She had to undergo surgery again, and the doctors told us it’s like her healing process from the heart surgery is starting all over.

I’ve been on FMLA to care for her, but my time is running out. I told my job I would only need 14 days, and I’m supposed to return this Tuesday. Technically I’m covered until September 5th, but I never expected her to face this setback. I want to be there for her, but bills don’t stop coming.

On top of this, she was recently laid off from the IRS due to government cutbacks and is now being hit with an audit, leaving us with an $8,000+ debt that grows daily with interest. We’re also trying to keep up with household bills and groceries, and I help my mom care for my three nieces (ages 5, 9, and 10).

I’m a hard-working person, but right now, I just don’t have anyone else to turn to. We’re trying to keep the lights on, stay caught up on rent, and make sure my wife has what she needs to recover comfortably.
