Help us keep our RC club open

RCNI (Radio Control Northern Ireland) was formed in late 2023 by six RC enthusiasts, over 2024 we created a venue which became our clubs home in the outskirts of the small town of Loughbrickland, In 2024 we ran a successful club championship and even hosted a two day gran prix event.
It was a dream come true we took what we all imagined on paper and turned into a reality. We built a racing venue for people from all backgrounds and introduced a sport/hobby in an area that had never heard of it.
In RCNI we have families, cross community, disabled, kids, adults and we welcome anyone threw our gate to give it a go, this isn't a hobby for the select few our gates are open to everyone!
But about 4 months into our first racing season the club was met with a huge road block. Our local council had received a noise complaint which then led to months of back and forth involving planning talks, restructures and with the help of our local Mp's and Mla's we where guided on how to keep our club open but also the steps we would need to take to ensure our clubs future.
The club runs on limited funding and resources and as we enter the 2025 season we must raise funds to allow the future of RCNI to stay in tact. We must raise money to pay for the application of planning and the other fees that we will encounter along the way. These fees in a breakdown are to cover:
- Planning consultancy
- Architect drawings
- Planning applications
- Future surveys Inc audiology and environmental reports.
Unfortunately none of these fee's are free and as the club is in it's second year we currently don't have the funds to tackle the above mentioned in the time frame required. We are asking for your help to keep our club alive anything makes a difference and we appreciate your generosity.
