We urgently need your help to continue providing vital sporting and recreational programs for our 1200+ participants who are blind and vision impaired.
For our participants, many of whom also face mental health challenges, physical disabilities, underemployment, and social isolation, these programs are more than just activities—they are a lifeline for staying healthy, active, and connected.
“It’s not just about learning a new skill; it’s about finding a space where I finally felt equal, where I didn’t feel different at all. It’s been such an incredible boost to my self-esteem, and the sense of belonging and acceptance I found here is simply amazing” - Nisha
Many of our traditional funding sources and grants have been significantly reduced or are no longer available. This has greatly impacted our ability to maintain, grow, and promote our programs — both in metropolitan Melbourne and across regional Victoria.
This funding shortfall will reduce our current number of staff, unless we receive urgently needed funds. With such a small team already, any reduction in staff will directly affect the number and quality of programs we can deliver. We are a small, dedicated team of professionals, supported by over 280+ volunteers. We need your support to continue our work.
“Finding the support and guidance offered through BSRV, at times, likely saved my life (not an exaggeration)” - Sarah
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to enhance the quality of life for people who are blind or vision impaired.
Please give what you can - together, we can make a difference.
Thank you for your support.
