Hi there, my husband and myself (plus our cat Nala) have been living with family the last 3 months while we saved for and sought out adequate housing in the Southern CA region. Just yesterday on 4/2/26 we got the keys to our new condo for the next two years, right nearby my family, and we were so excited.

However, not only was my husband just hospitalized overnight on 3/31/26 to 4/1/26 due to an acute infection, the cost of which we are unaware of at this time, but he also just got the call today 4/3/26 that his job contract was being terminated 6-months early for “restructuring” at the company. His recruiting company told him it was likely at the organizational-level and not personal, so he was welcomed to reapply for other positions, but this feels like retaliation for him being in the hospital those two days and being unable to work.

He has an interview for another job on Monday, and depending on how that goes, we may have to contact our property managers to cancel

our rental agreement at the condo. Not even a week after moving in.
