Estamos recaudando fondos para apoyar a nuestra mamá en su tratamiento contra un cáncer de ovario en estadio III. Durante el último año ha recibido seis ciclos de quimioterapia y ha pasado por dos cirugías mayores. En la primera intervención no fue posible remover el tumor debido a su tamaño y al compromiso de varios órganos, por lo que únicamente se tomó la muestra para la biopsia. La segunda cirugía, realizada en agosto, permitió finalmente retirar el ovario y parte del epiplón donde había metástasis. Aún tiene pendientes más ciclos de quimioterapia.

Posterior a esta última cirugía, su sistema inmune se debilitó y desarrolló una neumonía severa que la mantuvo hospitalizada durante un mes. Como consecuencia, ahora presenta dificultad respiratoria y saturaciones bajas, por lo que necesita oxígeno continuo, cuyo costo diario es muy elevado.

A pesar de todas estas complicaciones, nuestra mamá se mantiene muy fuerte, positiva y con mucha fe de que ganaremos esta batalla contra el cáncer. Ha enfrentado un ACV, infecciones, pérdida de peso y los efectos emocionales y físicos del tratamiento, pero continúa luchando con determinación y fe.

Lamentablemente, el sistema de salud en Venezuela es extremadamente limitado y costoso, lo que hace aún más difícil acceder a un tratamiento adecuado y a los recursos médicos esenciales. Como familia hemos cubierto sus gastos médicos durante un año, pero los costos actuales superan nuestras posibilidades. Los fondos recaudados se utilizarán para:

We are raising funds to support our mom as she undergoes treatment for Stage III ovarian cancer. Over the past year, she has received six cycles of chemotherapy and has undergone two major surgeries. During the first operation, the tumor could not be removed due to its size and involvement of several organs, so only a biopsy sample was taken. The second surgery, performed in August, finally allowed the removal of the affected ovary and part of the omentum where metastasis had occurred. She still has additional chemotherapy cycles pending.

After this last surgery, her immune system became severely weakened, and she developed a serious pneumonia that kept her hospitalized for a month. As a result, she now faces ongoing respiratory difficulties and low oxygen levels, which require her to be on continuous oxygen therapy, a daily expense that is extremely costly.

Despite all these challenges, our mom remains strong, positive, and full of faith. She has faced a stroke, infections, significant weight loss, and the emotional and physical toll of treatment, yet she continues to fight with admirable resilience.

Unfortunately, the healthcare system in Venezuela is extremely limited and expensive, which makes access to proper treatment and essential medical resources even more difficult. As a family, we have covered her medical expenses for an entire year, but the current costs are beyond what we can manage on our own. Funds raised will be used for:
