Hi friends, family, and community members,
On behalf of SIPAT (Spanish Immersion Parents and Teachers) the PTA organization at Cesar Chavez Elementary School in Davis, California — and we are reaching out to ask for your support in funding two critical school positions for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year: a PBIS Paraeducator and a Campus Safety Supervisor.
These roles are essential to our school’s safety and the well-being of over 500 students — but they’re no longer going to be funded by our school district.
SIPAT is stepping up to cover the cost, but we need your help to raise $57,561 to make sure our students don’t go without this vital support.
Who We’re Raising Money For:
PBIS Paraeducator – $35,100
This dedicated team member works directly with students every day to:
Reinforce positive behavior through the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) framework
Support children who need extra guidance and encouragement, whether it be emotionally or academically
Help create nurturing and inclusive classroom and playground environments for all students
Campus Safety Supervisor – $22,461
This role ensures every child is safe throughout the school day by:
Providing adult supervision during recess, drop-off/pick-up, and lunch transitions
Monitoring school grounds and helping students navigate their day safely
Being a familiar and trusted presence across campus and first responder to all issues on campus, small or large
Why We’re Asking
We believe these positions should be funded by the district — and we’re advocating for that. But in the meantime, our kids can’t wait.
We can’t risk losing the kind, capable adults who:
Know our children by name
Keep our campus calm and safe
Support students emotionally and behaviorally every single day
This GoFundMe helps us bridge the gap and ensure continuity, stability, and safety in the year ahead.
