Asking for help is not something we ever imagined doing, but we are out of options.

Nearly one year ago, my wife was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s disease and is no longer able to work. As her condition has progressed, our life has changed in ways we never imagined.

We applied for disability benefits, believing this is exactly what the system is meant for. Unfortunately, despite medical documentation and clear need, our application has been denied multiple times. We are continuing to appeal, but the process is slow and unforgiving.

In the meantime, we are facing the very real possibility of losing our home.

We are asking for help to cover basic living expenses while we fight through the disability appeals process, including:

Mortgage payments

Utilities

Medical and caregiving-related expenses

This is not easy for us to ask. We have always tried to handle life’s challenges on our own. But we are at a point where we need help to buy time and stability while we pursue long-term support for my wife’s care.
