For the past two years, I’ve been working three jobs in the service industry to support myself and my 13-year-old daughter. I had to put my passion for music aside to make sure we had what we needed, but the physical toll has been immense. Recently, I developed a back issue that’s made it even harder to keep up, and I’ve been trying to change careers. Unfortunately, the job market has been tough, and just recently, I was let go from my primary job. As a single parent who homeschools, I’m now two months behind on rent and utilities. Our lights, phone, and water are all scheduled to be cut off in a few days, and my landlord has made it clear there’s no more grace period. Despite my pride, I know I need help.

Support from this fundraiser would help me catch up on bills, keep our home, and give me the time I need to complete assessments for a new career field I’m working hard to break into. Your support in this tough time would mean so much to me and my daughter. I truly want to get back on my feet and return to creating art, which is my passion. I don’t have a consistent village or anyone to call on in times like this, so you can imagine how heavy this load is.
