My sister and I are facing the hardest time of our lives. We recently lost our father unexpectedly, and with his passing, we also lost the financial support that kept us afloat. Now, we’re facing eviction, our utilities are about to be shut off, and we’re running out of time to find a solution. My sister is battling stage four terminal colon cancer, and the stress of possibly losing our home is something she simply cannot handle right now.

We have always tried to help others, but now we find ourselves alone and in desperate need. Our family is scattered—one brother couldn’t come home for our parents’ funerals, and another is busy with his own family. It’s just the two of us, along with Miss Gabby, my emotional support animal, trying to hold on. I’ve tried every avenue for help, but after being misled by a fake charity, I’m left feeling lost and scared.

The funds from this fundraiser will go directly toward paying two to three months of rent in advance and catching up on overdue utilities. This will give us a little breathing room while we wait for life insurance and other support to come through.
