I am reaching out for help because I am struggling to make rent for the next couple of months. My part-time job is a contracted position and, despite applying to many jobs, I haven’t been able to find something more stable. Without the income assistance I previously relied on, every dollar I earn is going toward rent and paying off credit card bills. I can’t afford to buy new clothes for myself or my daughter, and the stress of trying to keep up is overwhelming.

What I want most is a bit of peace of mind through the holiday season. I want to be able to focus on spending time with my daughter, not constantly worrying about losing our home. If I can meet my fundraiser amount, I’ll be able to cover our rent for the next two months and use my small income for essentials. It would also mean I could get a couple of Christmas gifts for my daughter, which would mean the world to both of us.
