My wife and I are currently facing one of the most challenging times of our lives. I am struggling with schizoaffective disorder and autism spectrum disorder (why I filed for SSDI). After my claim was denied, we entered legal proceedings to appeal the decision, a process that could take anywhere from four to six months, even in the best-case scenario. With no income during this waiting period, we are at risk of losing our home before the first month is over. The uncertainty and stress have been overwhelming, and we are doing everything we can to hold on until a decision is made.

The funds we are seeking will go directly toward covering our essential living expenses: utilities like power, water, and electricity, as well as our internet, mortgage, and car payments. These are the basics that will keep a roof over our heads and allow us to attend important appointments and hearings related to the SSDI process. We have no other outstanding expenses at this time, and every dollar raised will help us stay afloat until we can get back on our feet.
