I am reaching out with a heart full of hope, asking for any financial assistance, emergency funding, or resources that may help prevent my child and i from being evicted from our home in less then 10 days This is one of the hardest letters I have ever had to write because I never imagined I would be in this position.My child and I have lived in our home for the past eight years. This isn’t just an apartment—it is our home. It is where my child has grown up, where we’ve celebrated birthdays and holidays, where we’ve built our lives and created memories that can never be replaced.

For the past year, I have done everything within my power to keep a roof over our heads. I have fought every single day to avoid eviction. You never really know what someone’s going through because I’m trying so hard I have worked, picked up extra hours whenever I can i put every dollar I have toward my rent all while suffering with chronic migraines that pain is something no one can ever understand Every time I thought I was finally making progress, another obstacle seemed to appear. Service termination for my electric my parked car was crashed and totaled at the hands of someone else with no consequences just another loss for me. Another problem I have to solve on my own another eviction notice I have reached the point where I simply don’t know what else i can do.The thought of losing our home gives me so much anxiety. It is so overwhelming. We don’t have another place to go. We can’t simply pack our belongings and start over somewhere else. I have no savings there’s no back up plan If we lose this home, we stand to lose everything I’ve worked so hard to keep . I spent every penny to my name and I’m not saying that to be dramatic. I’m being 100% transparent that I gave everything to get a zero balance. The sheriff came they barged into the house and everything we were able to remain in my home because I paid just for 24 hours later there to be an outstanding balance where I’m told there’s no proof that the balance was ever zero yet I had the ledger with the proof This all started because a few months ago there was an administrative error through my housing program this resulted in them reverting payments from February 2025 to February 2026, which gave me an outstanding balance of $10,000 knowing that there’s absolutely no way I would be able to even begin to clear that balance, I contacted my caseworker. I’ve contacted their supervisor. I even contacted the supervisor supervisor. I wrote an appeal. no one contacted me. No one sent an email. I just happened to call the landlord and ask him if the eviction was still gonna be proceeded that day and he said the eviction was canceled and that the account had been updated,and i now have a balance of $3000 but if all of this was due to an administrative error, which they are aware of why am I the one suffering for it? The program is supposed to help provide housing stability yet it feels like it’s the main factor contributing to taking it away from me. My greatest fear is not for myself, but for my child, who deserves the security and stability of having a safe place to call home.The problem is not that i can’t afford my monthly rent the problem is i cannot play catch up with what i have as soon as I make large payment i turn around and rent is due again and my balance remains its like my payment is not helping i just need a fresh start at $0 I am not asking for a handout because I don’t want to work for it or take responsibility i will do whatever it takes to remain in our home but i am asking for help because I’m going crazy mentally im one person and I’m exhausted I’ve tried absolutely every option I know. I am asking for help because I refuse to stop fighting for my child and for the only home we have i don’t want my child to see our entire life on the curb with no way to save anything If there is any type of financial assistance, charitable organization, or community resource available that could help us prevent this eviction, I would be deeply grateful for any guidance or support. Even being pointed in the right direction could make the difference between keeping our home and becoming homeless.Thank you to anyone taking the time to read my story and consider my request.
